Dear Snow, Please Go Away

Tuesday, February 2 |
My friend and I have been training so hard for this little half-marathon run of ours. Even though this snow is trying to stop us, we are pushing through - a.k.a. we are about to run five miles. In the rain. And snow. And slush. We will most likely be looking down each step to watch our footing, but we are not going to let this weather get in our way. And by no means are we about to do our long runs on the treadmill or indoor track. More snow/freezing rain is in the forecast again this weekend! No worries, we still have a little under two months before race day, but we do need all the training we can get.

When I think about my training two thoughts normally come to mind:
1. We are SO intense. I'm not trying to say this in a "oh my gosh, we're so good" type of attitude, but this training is getting more and more hardcore. But then..
2. SO many people run a lot more than us.

Therefore, before we graduate, we have one goal: run all the way to my house. I'm not even sure how many miles that is...probably 11.18 miles or something. Maybe we will have to change that goal: run a full marathon by the time we graduate? Or before age 25.

Off I go...

I'm so proud of our commitment and I am so grateful for you. Yes. Marathon. Before we graduate.
